Lose Weight, Gain Wellness

How does Wegovy® Semaglutide work and is Semaglutide safe for weight loss?

Semaglutide approved under the brand name, Wegovy®, is an FDA-approved injectable prescription medication for adults who are either overweight or obese. Technically referred to as a “GLP-1 receptor agonist medicine,” Semaglutide mimics glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) by increasing insulin secretion. It specifically targets areas in the brain that regulate appetite and food intake. This can help you eat less, thereby helping you lose weight.

Yes, Semaglutide is safe. The GLP-1 class of drugs has been used safely in the treatment of diabetes since 2005. The addition of this class of drugs has revolutionized  the way diabetes is treated. Since its approval to be used for weight loss, the results have been unlike any other weight loss agent that has been used in the past.

We are so excited to get you started on your journey to weight loss and wellness!

Are Wegovy® and Ozempic® both used for Weight Loss?
